Ready, set, go…

4:12 pm

I’m sitting on the back porch of a vacation house on Palomar Mountain. The occasion? My hubby and I decided to rent out the lodge so that I could celebrate my 40th birthday. And as I thought about who would be invited to this event and the deeper purpose of this event I settled on the fact that I wanted to feed back into the lives of several women who have fed into my life, being supportive friends, inspiring friends, great connecting friends, fun friends, completing the definition of “friend”.

All I wanted to do to celebrate this moment in my life was to be TOGETHER.

I wanted to bring them together to meet each other, to have a chance to learn about each other, to give me a chance to pamper them, to give back to them… but mostly to simply be together with them all at the same time, in the same place… celebrating TOGETHERNESS… TOGETHER.

So I’m out on the porch… to do my post. They are inside telling stories and laughing … TOGETHER.

4:17 pm… I will soon go back inside… to be TOGETHER with these wonderful women… my life would not be the same without their inspirational influences.
